Casa Vera Films is an award-winning documentary production company based in Brooklyn, New York. We believe in opening minds and inspiring social change through documentary storytelling. Founded in 2014 by Alden Peters and Pat Murphy, the idea for Casa Vera Films began in Havana, Cuba years prior. Alden and Pat were living in a house called Casa Vera while working on documentaries together, and on humid Havana nights they started their plan. In 2016, Matt Allison came on board, bringing digital campaign strategy knowledge to the team, and a new focus on video content for nonprofit organizations.
